John William Gunn

Executive Chairman

John founded SynerGIS as the consumers’ alternative to a bank. He saw an opportunity for a better savings solution: offering people competitive returns on their investment, without sacrificing a cautious approach to investing.

With over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, John has worked for Hoare Govett, Carr Sheppards, Assicurazioni Generali and Williams de Broë. In 2005 he created Global Investment Strategy (GIS) – an investment banking company which, over the last three years, have administered 250,000 transactions with settlement values exceeding £50 billion. As well as being Executive Chairman of GIS he is also CEO of Octagonal Plc, John also has an interest in renewable energy and clean tech businesses.
